Who is eligible for a scholarship?
Any
Reading resident who is currently a high school senior, or is pursuing
an undergraduate degree, or any non-Reading resident who is a senior at
Reading Memorial High School and has been enrolled as a full-time
student for a period of at least three years.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
Applications and
the Financial Aid Questionnaire must be postmarked by the dates
indicated on each form. Instructions are included on each form. The
forms for each year may be downloaded from this site prior to the
deadline for the year or are available in the guidance office at
Reading Memorial High School, the Reading Public Library, and the
Reading Town Hall.
How are award recipients determined?
The Awards Committee carefully reviews the information you provide as
well as financial need determined by Dollars for Scholars. The
Committee notifies each applicant when a decision is made regarding
his/her application.
Will my application be kept confidential?
Yes. Applications are held in strict confidence. Applications are
numbered upon receipt and all family names are deleted to assure
anonymity. Financial information provided by the family is analyzed by
Dollars for Scholars, a program of of Scholarship America SM .
